A Huge Lesson

April 17, 2009

Thank you Susan Boyle…
For that Huge Lesson

“We were all laughing at you;
no one is laughing at you now.”

You have put us all to shame
For who are we to place judgement on anybody else

Yes it’s a huge “wake-up call”
To remind us of our self-conceit, our cynicism

To look ourselves in the mirror
For the shame we so readily dish out

Thank you for that truly humbling experience;
we needed that

Yes it’s about time we learn to humble ourselves;
it’s about time we wake up

Thank you for that Huge Lesson…
That Invaluable Lesson

Perhaps it’s time for some re-assessment
Of ourselves, our values

Moral of the story:
“You may laugh at me now. But what does it matter?” Right?

Susan Boyle’s rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream”
on the programme “Britain’s Got Talent” on Youtube

    Susan Boyle reminds us that each and every one of us is like her in a way. We may not be much to look at (attractiveness is unfortunately, based on unrealistic ideals), but once people discover something special about us, you bet they’ll drop their jaws.

    Thank you for this “A Huge Lesson”.
    Really meaningful. =)
    We gotta judge ourselves first before we judge people.
    Life is full of ups and downs.
    So even when we get laughed at, so what?
    Just simply use the anger that we get from people who laughed at us turn into strength! :)
    God bless.

    She is amazing. I love the courage she took and that confident attitude do make a change in her life just with a moment of time. Saw this on news when having lunch in office today then went to check out youtube and was very touch and encouraged. This is really a lesson to learn, I truly believe.

    Just the earth is round. Nothing can be for sure.
    It just human, most judge people by looks.

    But, I’ve learn not to judge that way and always give a chance to know. As long as the person look ugly inside.. and he will look ugly no matter how good looking his born or try to be.

    I rather meet someone with a normal mind and a great person than someone who look, grown fully well but with no standard.

    Susan Boyle’s show rather let me learn never to give up my passion and goals. And that one day value will be seen.

    Mm…it is now part of our natural habit to judge a person by their looks…especially those in the entertainment industry…. guess it’s because of the exposure from hollywood, mtv, etc.
    But looks are relative, it is compared against something or someone for the judgement to be made. Like someone mentioned, a person who is ugly inside is ugly regardless of his/her looks.
    That is why we should stay humble.

    It also shows that Talent is something that cannot be easily duplicated while looks can (with cosmetic surgery, etc).
    And while looks do not lasts, talent does.

    It takes alot of courage to dream….I always admire people that have the courage to go on a stage to perform in front of an audience….I have yet to find this courage…..
    Susan Boyle has shown that she dared to chase her dream and ….her dream came true!

    Hi Elvin,
    Good luck in the Star Awards! I wonder would you be donning a star somewhere in your suit? ;P

    What i don’t understood is in fact how you are no longer actually a lot more neatly-favored than you may be right now. You are so intelligent. You already know thus considerably when it comes to this subject, made me personally believe it from a lot of various angles. Its like women and men aren’t fascinated except it’s something to do with Woman gaga! Your own stuffs excellent. At all times maintain it up!
