“That which Hurts You does not Kill You”

May 30, 2009

“That which hurts you does not kill you.”

For there is no pain so great we cannot deal.

Give me Strength.

& Courage.

& Wisdom.

Detachment from this plot.

Anymore?

Is that all?

I’m not going to die standing.

I’m not even going to die.

Sometimes it mights hurts you, but it won’t kills you. It will makes you think thru, grow stronger and wiser.

It will give you courage and when you face it again, you will be able to “fight” it thru…

Pain is just part of growing. =)

You seem to blog almost exactly on the same day i do and speak the same ‘language’; this is creepy!
I beg to differ from your stance though. Yes, pain and hurts make you aware that you’re alive, but the more pain you feel, the more numb you will be, and a certain part of you dies, albeit not your physical self. Besides, dying standing isn’t such a bad thing? But for now, just roll with the punches and react to life’s capriciousness with equanimity my friend. You’ll survive, coz it’s not your time yet. Trust me. :)

Prayer do the works best. No matter how man tries to be great, with or without a motive, for the sake of himself / herself or others, the only ultimate source of wisdom the speaks to you is through God alone. Listen to the strength of his words and the spirit that grows within you when you believe him. :) It is proven to be true from that day onwards. U should know what I’m refering to.

Oh.. And your entry reminds me of the song Stronger by Kanye West. :)
Didn’t want to sound like a preacher because I am not, realise that the topic of spiritually is touchy no matter how true it is to me. And since you want more.. This is the least I can help.

I realise that I’ve already said all that I have to say. The rest is your choice. I really hope that you find strength, wisdom, courage, and many other beautiful things in life not only from man alone. I’ve enjoyed my stay here, reading and commenting on your philosophical and not so philosophical entries. Take care.

Believe in yourself, that’s the most important.

    I’m at a dilemma now…

Even though I know that “That which hurts you does not kill you” but i can’t help feeling lost on the decision that I have to make.

    1) A dream but not knowing whether they will accept you

    or

    2) 2nd best choice, stable and is willing to accept you

No matter which decision I make, I will be really upset if I make the wrong decision and get hurt in the process.

    sigh..

Not sure the context you wrote this, but I guess it’s an attitude I like.

“I’m not going to die standing
I’m not even going to die.”

Yeah. I’m not going to die, strive and work harder, that’s the only way up.

As we go through life, there will be many instances we may have to choose between 2 equally good alternative. When we’re facing problem, it’s difficult for us to make a choice because we cannot foresee what each choice will eventually lead to. We have to choose wisely and we also can do these based on 3 factor. The 1st is the circumstances we’re in at present. 2nd, is the hope that we have for the future and lastly is the lessons which we’ve leart from our past mistakes. Life is like the sea. Sometimes there’s wave but sometime there isn’t. So what is important here is not to dwell upon the past but to learn to accept the consequences of our choice.

I like your smug look and the way u mock Jerry in TU. Very different from your previous. However, it seems that u will be stereotyped to do such role in Tgther again?

Hmm. Majority of your entries are really very thought-provoking.

And they do somehow (surreptitiously) stir up some pleasant and unpleasant experiences and make me think through things with a different viewpoint however unwilling I am.

Powerful stuff you have there. Haha.

    Hey,
Not a Singaporean but that don’t stop me from loving your dramas. Well, they’re awesome. I like those characters you played.

I’m not going to die standing.

I’m not even going to die.

    So true.
    Take care.
