Tks for the reminder … not to use tainted ‘eyes’ to view the world…sometimes, others may look at us with that way. As such, we stand firm on our beliefs. Maybe, someday, they will realise where we are coming from.

It’s always right to stay true to yourself. To not follow blindly to the evolving trends, concepts, to not be easily swayed by the moral standards set by the society. What’s important too is to know right from wrong and to live graciously. :)

When I first heard you going all the way to Sabah to do charity, i was wondering what so special abt this charity, and I am glad it turned out THIS KIND OF CHARITY !
going back to the basic of life, and yet doing your bit for charity – that’s the way to go ! That way you don’t get lost in fame, fortune and the materialism of the modern world we live in.

I hv been to somewhere like this, but in Desaru (not the resort spots). Just a wooden hut overlooking a low-ebbed sandy shore and the fishing boats anchored against the blue skies. Very pictureque. It’s beautiful, but HOT !

This is my first time seeing your blog and i am really impressed.
no doubt, i had epiphanies about many things after reading what you wrote about life.
to a large extent, i really agree with some of the things you said. and i’m really inspired to find out more about life.
hence, i would like to ask how did you “discover” such things in life? was it due to experience or encounters which led you perceiving things this way?
i am much younger than you are, however, i do wonder about various things in life as well.
Hope you would answer my question and give me some pointers as well. ;) (im a lit student too btw. and i have to say that literature has caused me to think so widerly. :P)
would also like to ask you a question i have been pondering and would like to hear your views about it.
How do you find yourself?
When i first read the title, i wanted to say, “Yeah, that’s coz vwe’re not German or Swede!” But yes, you got it right with the whole viewing-the-world-through-untainted-eyes thing. Though that can be extremely difficult at times. Well, continue to see, hear, and feel with your heart dude!

About the words, it’s beautiful but…I don’t totally agree to it….i agree that we have to be proud of our roots but sometimes we need to see the world through others’ eyes to improve ourselves and rid certain traditions that are not necessarily right. I can’t imagine the tradition of women binding their feet now…it’ll be such a painful & cruel thing to do.
