“Black Eyes, not Blue”

June 23, 2009

See.

With the colour of your eyes.

Not coloured; not tainted

Not any other colour

The world puts forth for you

It’s a tainted one

It might not be your colour

Do not let others colour your vision

Stay rooted.

To your Tradition; to your History.

There should be no compromise

See.

With the colour of your eyes.

Through which lens you were born to see the world.

Seems U had loads of fun with the kids. =)
    It’s definitely a fruitful trip for u, i suppose?

Yup, being the innocent self without being corrupted by others will get to see the beautiful simple world.

Glad seeing you once again =D
    There should be no pretending,
no covering up one’s true self,
for we are both unique creatures of Lord.
All the best in your career.

i like the last photo u took wif e kids.

look at their innocent eyes. isn’t that lovely? =)

we tend to loose all this naive and innocent we all once had as we gradually grow up.

爱是一种需要一种缺乏 所以我们都喜欢情歌 不管爱在进行中 还是仍未萌芽 不管你爱他比较多 还是他爱你比较多 爱或被爱 其实都是一种喜悦

Tks for the reminder … not to use tainted ‘eyes’ to view the world…sometimes, others may look at us with that way. As such, we stand firm on our beliefs. Maybe, someday, they will realise where we are coming from.

Guess you will be busy again when the year-end blockbuster’s filming commences which is like very soon ….

It’s always right to stay true to yourself. To not follow blindly to the evolving trends, concepts, to not be easily swayed by the moral standards set by the society. What’s important too is to know right from wrong and to live graciously. :)
I can see that you had a fulfilling time at Sabah. Meaningful motive of travel. :) your last photo just reminds me.. :)

Stay true to yourself and to your tradition is what i strongly agreed with

Do not let others colour your vision,i totally agreed
Society tend to change and people might be easily swayed but most important is that to stay rooted to oneself

Be yourself is always the best

Elvin, nice to hear from you again and the photos makes me feel that we are so blessed compared to them

So remember to live life to the fullest…

When I first heard you going all the way to Sabah to do charity, i was wondering what so special abt this charity, and I am glad it turned out THIS KIND OF CHARITY !

going back to the basic of life, and yet doing your bit for charity – that’s the way to go ! That way you don’t get lost in fame, fortune and the materialism of the modern world we live in.

Love the kids in the pic …do send them this pic, and im sure they’ll treasure it !

By the way, verses written by YOU ? Beautiful and meaningful. Cheers !

I hv been to somewhere like this, but in Desaru (not the resort spots). Just a wooden hut overlooking a low-ebbed sandy shore and the fishing boats anchored against the blue skies. Very pictureque. It’s beautiful, but HOT !

    Hi Cozy,

    Hello.
This is my first time seeing your blog and i am really impressed.
no doubt, i had epiphanies about many things after reading what you wrote about life.
to a large extent, i really agree with some of the things you said. and i’m really inspired to find out more about life.
hence, i would like to ask how did you “discover” such things in life? was it due to experience or encounters which led you perceiving things this way?
i am much younger than you are, however, i do wonder about various things in life as well.
Hope you would answer my question and give me some pointers as well. ;) (im a lit student too btw. and i have to say that literature has caused me to think so widerly. :P)

would also like to ask you a question i have been pondering and would like to hear your views about it.

    How do you find yourself?

When i first read the title, i wanted to say, “Yeah, that’s coz vwe’re not German or Swede!” But yes, you got it right with the whole viewing-the-world-through-untainted-eyes thing. Though that can be extremely difficult at times. Well, continue to see, hear, and feel with your heart dude!

  20. Starz, on June 25th, 2009 at 8:08 pm said:

    Hi Elvin,
Mmm, great pix (all of them but especially the 3rd one with da kidz) ! BTW, you seemed to have lost weight, right? You look charming as usual! Heehee…

Er, where is this place? And where you there especially for charity as some1 had wrote? If yes, you’re such a darling ! Will we get to see this on tv? Wished you write more of your thoughts on this trip (coz I don’t follow your whereabouts as closely as your super fans, OK?)

About the words, it’s beautiful but…I don’t totally agree to it….i agree that we have to be proud of our roots but sometimes we need to see the world through others’ eyes to improve ourselves and rid certain traditions that are not necessarily right. I can’t imagine the tradition of women binding their feet now…it’ll be such a painful & cruel thing to do.
