Some Rules are Flawed
August 19, 2009“Not everything that is immoral has to be illegal.” Read this from a newspaper article some time back.
I thought to myself, “Likewise, not everything that is illegal has to be immoral.”
And, “Not everything that is illegal has to be logical.”
What does this say about rules?
That they are man-made.
And that’s why some rules can be changed from time to time; they lack consistency.
And that’s why Some Rules are Flawed.
i’m glad u say some rules are flawed and not values. good values on the other hand are never flawed. good values, such as truthfulness cannot be flawed.
rules are meant to be broken.. that’s what i heard.. haha.. i realises that you are very sentimental..^^.. dun know if it’s a good thing or not.. but i think it helps in ur acting career.. anyway, back to the topic, rules help to maintain things in position.. without it, ppl will be.. lost.. i agree to ur statement, there is flaws in some rules.. but nothing is perfect in this world.. so that’s why the world is balance..^^ (confused by own my logics)@_@..
Rules are dead, Humans are alive
We shld be flexible at times, instead of sticking to some rules tt are meant to be taken away long time ago. Be innovative yeah! =)

Rules are created by humans and humans are definitely not perfect. thus some rules created contain flaws but the thing that i hate the most is sometimes ppl make use of these flaws and abuse the real purpose of law and rules.
btw i’m watching the ultimatium now and i really should praise you for you good acting skills, because i’m also watching kinship 2 at the same time, so i can see the two distinctive personalities that you’re playing. *thumbs up*

I agreed that some rules have loopholes, that is why they need to be change from time to time to improve them. The world changes. Hence, our definition of morality will also changes. Therefore, it is impossible to have the same set of rules existing from a few decades ago till now.

Who set the rules? People. People are not perfect, nothing is perfect… Since the person that is setting the rules is not perfect, definately that rules that the person’ve set contain flaws… if a set of perfect rules is needed, let it be nothing, no rules at all ( you see, NOTHING is perfect ) Haha… I think since rules are set by people for people I think to some extend it’s meant for us, the people to break them.^-^ If in the first place nobody did any wrong things, there won’t be the need for the rules, and since we are kinda ‘used’ to having rules around, we should at times break them so that they can always ‘stay’ with us…haha… Things are always there for a reason…
Rules are just some words forming together to makes things controlled.
Not all rules applied to every situations.
Not all rules are perfect.
Sometimes rules can be wrong.
Therefore, no point insist in following.
Following rules doesn’t means you are on the right track/doing the right things.
Humans have to be flexible and change abit of the rules for special situations.
Some rules are meant to be broken-those that are set by people, in some cases not entirely justified, some are not- laws /rules to maintain order, equality. Each country has different set of laws/rules to deal with issues like homosexuality etc. Whether illegal or immoral would be subjective.
Hi there,I have been busy with my soccer matches I did not have time to go online.And about the rule thing I thought rules are to keep things under control but sometimes some of the rules are not really neccessary.These days, people seem to break rules,like no eating and drinking on the MRT,but people still do it.Anyway,last thursday I watched your stars for a cause,very touching.Bye for now cause I need to go to teakwando class.

Yup, rules can be break in some circumstances, as you said, it is man-made…

rules r created to protect the majority in society. society is changing, thus they r changing. they r flawed & will always be cos they protect majority, nt all ppl.
human should be guide by own conscience, juz dun do things which u dun wan others to do to u, n e world will be prettier.
oh ya, keeping a diary to note down a day events n appointments is a gd way to self improve, both in character n behaviour!
it is certainly ironic that you’re pointing out the lack of consistency in rules while advocating that they should be altered “from time to time”.
