I was overseas, part of the reason I was there was to see a friend whom I only see once a year at most. I was there 3 weeks, he was busy all the time but expecting to be relieved of his duties the final couple of days before I returned to Singapore. But alas, he was called off at the spur of the moment 2 days before my flight home and didn't know if he'd be able to make it. Sep 29, we spoke on the phone. He wouldn't be able to make it back till Oct 2, at least. He felt like he's there at a place far away from home forever. I felt like forever waiting to see him, and waiting and hoping for the good news of him being able to meet up but none of that happened. And it'll be next year, at least, before we'll see each other again. And that is how long forever is to me now. The day you blogged this post, it felt like forever to me. We might not understand him very well but to him, we're more than anything. We can see god as nothing but we cannot forget that he is a forever living god and will always be.
