I was in Perth for the first time in 1986 and I saw the big Eucalyptus tree where the Koala likes to sleep in between the branches. I tried to hug the huge tree trunk and realised that even my arms are too short to go around it. The feeling I get at this time is I feel secure and if there is a typhoon that is coming through, I can hide safely behind that tree.
The tree speaks of a certain strength and I am always amazed when I see gigantic trees. And we can refuge in it.
Maybe you think that someone is trying to make fun of you or have other thoughts to ask you to hug the tree.
Well, i would not do things out of someone’s hidden agenda but i will do it if i feel that I am drawn by my own intuition to do it, then it will leave a certain impression in my life. And however stupid it may seems to be, it is not stupid at all in my own eyes.

On the 50th Countdown Day (Sunday 11 Oct) before we get ‘Together 当我们同在一起’, the star to highlight is 黄俊雄Elvin Ng – three-time recipient of the Star Awards Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award.
When I was selecting photos of Elvin Ng as ‘泰山’ from those taken during the filming of this drama, it was an easy job for me when Elvin is concerned. Every single photo of Elvin looks good. Elvin went on a proper diet to get that look to fit into the role. His well-chiseled face is every photographer’s dream photo in the making. He has also toned his body just about right – not too muscular or soft. On screen, Elvin looks every bit a leading male star.
I know some of you may have an issue with his acting skills. Some felt his performance in ‘The Ultimatum’ was overly-exaggerated. Let me tell you this: Elvin doesn’t just brush that aside and pretend the issue wasn’t there. He once told me frankly at the imaging session of ‘Together 当我们同在一起’ that he felt he was a bit ‘slow’ – as in 开窍 or 领悟 in the art of acting and he is working hard on it…
Elvin knows it and is determined to improve. This guy is a real down-to-earth humble fellow who wants to perfect his skills.
My Promo Editor commented earlier on that he was worried about not finding impressive scenes of Elvin to craft good promo trailers. But he was pleasantly surprised that Elvin managed to emote well in quite a fair bit of scenes in this new show unlike his previous dramas. Elvin has what it takes to be a star. He just needs the right environment, time and your support to blossom.
For me i think not everything need a reason,sometimes it doesn”t need reason
For love its should have a reason because you just don”t anyhow like someone isnt it?

This reminds me of the army days…where our sergeants asked/punished us to run there and kiss the tree… we have to obey the order, else.
Outside army and in our jobs, sometimes we need to do as asked …but deep inside us, we may asked ourselvs WHY? …we may know it is illogical but our hands may be tied at times.
If we don’t follow or do not agree with the reasons, then, we may have to LL if we wanna keep our jobs …That’s life – isn’t it?

Put your heart into your acting and someday you will be as good as the others. Put in more facial expressions. In the past, your role is the good, mama boy and it would not work out well on you all the time.
Yuwu is really an experienced actor now. He jumps in and out of characters with no string attached, which means he is always ready to take a new character role. How impressive was ChenXi in the Little Nyonya, he has never commented about his success in that role. Though I know he is a little disappointed for not winning the Best Actor Award, I guess he needs to work hard on another role to win it.
