Meetings

November 18, 2009

“When was the last time we met?”

“Half a year ago? At Bugis?”

“No, that wasn’t a meeting. We bumped into each other.”

There are already some meetingsĀ which do not feel like meetings.

To me, meeting means both parties or more people get together, for a chat, a meal etc. A meeting is something that was pre-planned.

Meet up that was not pre planned by both parties and they happened to meet up on the street is called bumping. haha

Define meeting. hanging out together? A group of ppl discussing abt smthg together, giving diff point of views?

Bumping along outside, perhaps to me is just coincidentally, since it’s most prob just a hi bye convo, without doing anything together- shldnt b called a meeting.

Your thoughts are very interesting, it is mind twisting.
When I am not feeling too well in health, I really don’t feel like meeting anyone even my buddies, I prefer to sleep at home. And if I bump into someone, I will also have no mood to talk anything more than a smile.

To me, giving a smile is the most fundamental thing I would do in meeting anyone either coincidentally or arranged meeting.

A smile will change the mood of everything around you. I never go shopping without a smile because you are buying something for someone you love.

    Meetings are pre-arranged, usually.
If we bump into each other (yet to come…haha), it wouldn’t be a meeting liao lor…it would be …hmmm….’fated to meet’ or ‘coincidence’.
In life, we do not meet to greet but we should greet if we meet. how about that?

There are already some meetings when we feel like
we know that person forever even we saw him/her
for the very first time, but this looks like a dream, and a dream come true

I think there are no definite answer to how meeting is being defined. It can merely be just seeing the person’s face or smiling at the person or just a simple hello. Or it can be more interactive, such as having a small conversation to a long chat. It’s just how you want to see it. And don’t need to think too much. haha. But I’m amazed by some of your thoughts and point of views in this blog.

Hope to “meet” you on the “Together” roadshow at JP. Again, how is the “meet” being defined here? haha…I dunno.

    interesting.

    meetings..
    of the soul, the mind
as opposed to just in body

instead of a true ‘meeting’, just a bump, a brush past.
    i like that.
