Take good things lightly; take bad things lightly. Take achievement lightly; take fame lightly; take recognition lightly. Take scolding lightly; take punishment lightly; take stumble lightly.
Take the person who said you look good today lightly; take the person who said you seem to have put on weight lightly. But it’s alright to take the former a little more seriously than the latter, I think.
Take the person who stepped on your toes lightly; take the person who cut into your lane lightly; take the person talking behind your back lightly.
Taking things lightly doesn’t mean that you don’t care; it just means that you take things a little less seriously than what you make them to be.
Take things lightly. But never take your loved ones lightly. And more importantly, never take yourself lightly. Because if you take yourself lightly, who’s going to take you seriously? No one’s going to take you seriously.
So never take yourself lightly.
But not too seriously too lah. Not a moral lesson.

Yeah, agree on taking those things and people lightly especially those who you appreciate them and they don’t appreciate you though they seems like one because this people really makes life bad if its taken seriously.
And of course never take yourself lightly nor too serious. There is time for fun as well as getting serious with stuffs. Life is full of surprises whenever you look on the bright side of the road, be it whether there are ups and downs, all those really doesn’t matters as long you can be truly happy yourself.
By the way, seems like you have been real busy with your filming, wish everything is well for you and hope you have seen the little cute card I give you last 2 weeks, on Sunday. =)

Have been taking myself too lightly…tend to have no confidence in myself…tend to be inferior…whereas on the other hand, taking things too hard & seriously to heart…unhappy days are more than joyful days…will try to heed your words, not to take myself lightly & at same time take things lightly…wonder am i able to do that?…hope i could, but it is definitely not a overnight thing.

Congratulations on your well deserved nomination :) Your arresting performance as Tarzan evoked in us viewers every sentiment I believe the character was intended to arouse. For 30 episodes I felt the honor of “Tarzan’s” loyalty and the pain of his sacrifices so intensely to the point that I think I was vicariously living my life through the character!
Silly me.
I don’t wanna bore you with my rambles, so I’m just gonna offer you my heartiest and sincerest congratulations at your nomination. And while it is my hope, as it is many others’, that you win the eventual award, I really want you to know that your potential win will always be but an insignificant achievement comparative to how you’ve brought the character to life, and how its touched so many of us in the most genuine of ways.

While we dun take ourselves lightly, we mustn’t take ourselves heavily or seriously or hardly. Most of the times, we can be too ‘hard’ on ourselves, esp when we set high expectations or targets. Again, some may argue, no risk no gain.
That aside, Come year of the Tiger (tomorrow is Li Chun), those who are born in the year of the monkey will be in a tough year. Allow me to extract the following advice from a renowned FS master ->
“The year of the tiger clashes with you hence whatever you do or try to do, would not be successful. Everything goes in opposite direction hence simply lie low and just move along would be best. “Go with the flow”. For work, new opportunies may come about but none would materialise. Moneywise, you could be financially drained, be careful. Your health would not be good.Avoid climbing high or driving on the road, just be careful. You may wish to carry a small golden monkey in your wallet or bag to ward off the *tiger* in the year.

Esp i agree on we shld never treat ourself and our loved ones lightly.
But I think i have always take myself too seriously, and so serious tt too often when things doesn’t go the way it shld, i get quite affected. I guess thats what most virgos are? they r kinda perfectionist in certain ways which i fall into this cateogory too. not v good isn’t it? maybe i shld try to take myself lightly at certain times too. being too serious is too hurtful. haha =p
And i think i have always take others too lightly, many times i just say nvm lah, its ok, no matter what shit they did. so perhaps its time for me to take them seriously at times too? =p

I think if one take himself lightly, he will probably not take other things around him seriously. Likewise, if one take himself seriously, he will probably take other things seriously as well. I think they tend to go hand in hand. Just have to constantly remind oneself to take certain things certain people lightly. And I think Elvin is one person who take things (too) seriously (Am I Right?)- haha

I guess it isn’t about taking things lightly, but more of not placing too much importance on things. Success, failure, praise, criticism, they are all fleeting. It’s all about how you see yourself. That is the most important. Of course it is always easier to say it and harder to put it into action.
I really agree with you about loved ones. May we all cherish them and not take them for granted. Cos many people do that, knowingly or unknowingly.

Since when you have become so intelligent. Um, you are learning something and you are maturing slowly.
A good husband is one who listens to his wife and sees that she is well taken care of. If possible, sent her to work everyday and come back from work together which means fetch her back from work. That is what it means to not to take your loved ones lightly.
how to measure “lightly”? when taking thing slightly lightly, others will say, “u r nt serious at all”. when taking thing seriously, others will say “take it easy”… life is complicated…
I takes nothing lightly. I try to but I cant. Only till that thing or that person is a total cant be taken seriously that I will not just take it lightly.. I will completely let it.
hmm.. i try to think of few min.. really there is nothing that i take it lightly. it is not happy being this way obviously but it just me. cant be help. I used to take friends lightly.. but now.. i take them seriously. I see how improtant they can be even they might just be a passing cloud in life.
