“When you blow a bubble too big for yourself, the bubble will burst.”

Only a matter of time.

Sooner or later.

But not matter the size of the bubble, it will still burst. Again… only a matter of time. Sooner or later.

However, if you don’t blow the bubble, you will not know how it looks like. Transparent and spherical. Light yet heavy. Fragile. It is an art on its own.

yes indeed. it’s only a matter of time but you won’t know till you have tried, take it as a learning point.

congratulations on being nominated Elvin :) I’m sure things will look better in the future.

So you(everyone) should stay humble!! (my decipher after reading) I think some of your entries have hidden meanings to it or maybe we read too deep into it. But I think your entries are meant for individuals to decipher, we don’t have to know what you mean exactly. But I think you do sound serious and down (except for a couple of “tarzan entries”…

Yes, you are right. Let someone praise you rather than you praise yourself. So is this the first time you got nominated or 2nd time being nominated.

But when you stand before your enemies, you got to blow the bubble bigger than yourself, then when your enemies see you, they will run away from you.
When King David met Goliath, he ridiculed this giant Goliath and with one sling, he toppled him down from his tormentation forever.
But when you see your friends and your boss, then it is wise not to blow the bubble too big or they will get annoy with you.

Words of wisdom will give you high EQ (emotional quotient) and IQ, more competent to flow with situation and people around you.

We heard a lot about ‘the bubble has bursted’ in 2008 during the financial crisis. And now this is not really popular anymore. I wonder why.

1stly, congratz elvin for a well-deserved nomination in the best actor category. wonder if the panel of judges will be bold enough to accord u a well-deserved win. or would u rather prefer to let the senior guys have it first. what’s your take on this? after all u get to sit on the 1st role together with eelyn, whom i greatly support as well. follow your heart friend…

the future is bright. u r the only local guy with can speak impeccable mandarin – ie not english-accented mandarin. 715 dyt zzh and yuan shuai are still basically from china. u r the ONE and only local guy!

BUBBLE – let it burst then….lessons learnt, new hopes and dreams formed…it’s ok to discard, itz ok to change, itz ok to lose, itz ok to burst…..

yup yup. The bigger it got, your ego will ask you not to stop but to continue blowing.
Some people will think the bigger it is, it means they better, they will think very highly of themselves.
Cos they forgot they the bubble will not forever be so big and once it got burst, what will happen? It will only last a very short while.

Big bubbles doesn’t mean they are better, always do within our limits and dun get over highly react just for that short period of success.

    Sounds like a sad post.
While, bubble blowing is likened to blowing the trumpet, it certainly doesn’t equate to your nomination for the stars awards …i wun want to think that you are blowing bubbles ….cos, you hve worked hard for it. Bubble blowing is also likened to blowing our dreams… it will certainly burst if we dream too big and not give enough care to protect it from bursting….however, if one knows his/her limit and stop in time, probably the bubble will stay intact….

[sorry, if i sound confused myself....]

“When you blow a bubble too big for yourself, the bubble will burst.”

its just the same as wearing a cap that’s too big for your head.

others might compliment you but we shld never think too highly of ourselves or be overconfident.

How long does a bubble float? how long can it float afterall before bursting? no matter how big it is, It’s just a matter of time. isn’t it?

Elvin, i have always like your down to earth and humble attitude. and i hope it always stay the same! =)

Your words make sense. I agree that bubble can’t last, and will burst once it is blow too big. Think its still better to be down to earth and what we can do within own limits. Over do might cause unnecessary effects.

    Thanks for sharing. :)

    Hi Elvin,
Congrats on getting the prize to9 on the star awards. I am waiting to see you making real the story of race between tortoise and rabbit and the metal bar turn to needle. Btw, I am a good cook. What food do you look forward to eat most after a hard day’s work?
