The 'young' girls in SG have been inculcated e skewed values of being pretty n popular so as to be 'profitable' even though they may not make e academic grades. Their parents frown upon them if they were to try to do some household chores. Their parents prefer them to study, if not, play some musical instruments to "be cultured"; preferably Western musical instruments.
