For Pride & Glory, Passion & Love

May 21, 2010

It was an exciting night at the races.

Some do it for the money.

Some do it for fun.

Some do it for pride and glory.

Some for that moment of victory.

What I came away most touched by was the intimate relationship shared between jockey and horse. And all the hard work they put in to get them to race day and beyond. I was told the life span of a race horse is about three years. A blaze of glory, yes, and if only for that moment, there’s something romantic and timeless about it.

Whatever you do, what do you do it for? What’s the ultimate prize? Is it for the money? Is it for pride and glory? Or is it for passion and love? For your job and for the people you love and who love you. Whether it’s for money, pride or glory, passion and love cannot be taken out of it. I say, the ultimate prize is love.

Awesome pics! Had a great night at turf club?

i do it not only for passion and love or for the people i love and who love me. But also, sometimes the experience is unforgettable! be it good or bad. At least when you look back, you know you did your best so that I won’t regret doing them.

Love is what keeps the world moving. Love is everything. When it comes to finding that one person who will be there. The only comfort u’ll have when u’ve had a bad day. The only person who will stand by you when the whole world is against you. That one person who’ll walk down the rest of your life with you, for better or for worst.

That’s what everyone is looking for. It’s just to great to be true. I cant imagine my life without love. And the passion of loving.

Love is so great that without it, no matter how much money or assets you possess, you’re nothing.

You’ll know u’ve found the one, not when u can imagine the rest of your life with someone. It’s when u cant picture it without. :)

For love and passion or for money? I would say it is ideally for love and passion. But sadly most of us might be doing it for money. We work for money, not passion. How many of us working is their passion? I would say maybe 2 out of 10. To find a job which is your passion is not easy. And i’m working for money. How i wish i can find a job is my passion so that i won’t be dragging myself every morning to work. 这就是梦想与现实之间. But there are other little things in life that we do might be for passion and love. Things like bringing your children to school, buying a gift for friend, spending time with your love ones…All these might be little little things we doing it everyday but it is the love and passion that we are giving. Maybe we don’t even realise it.

When we do something, it’s very important to have the passion and love. Because when you have these 2, you’ll most likely enjoy what you are doing and you won’t have any regrets. And with the passion and love, you’ll be able to do something better as it is something of your interest. And thus, passion and love are the most important factors.

By the way, I’m glad to see that you’ve won some money from the horse racing. =)

Wow, well said Elvin, “I say, the ultimate prize is love.” :)

Actually, I came to know about you only from The Ultimatum. Never seen any of your dramas before that. Of course, I watched “Together” for Tarzan and skipped only one episode when he was hurt in the ring. Can’t take it, so sad! I followed New Beginnings throughout. :)

All the best to you in your career and whatever you do ok.
    God bless.

Love?…. A penny for many’s thoughts. I wonder as we advance in years. Do we carry on this belief or simply”let it go”…. Sometimes letting go is another form of love. Love yourself.

    Cheers.

Best last few verses ever.. =)
Love. Passion. Pride and Glory. Money. All exist.. however at different levels. =)
What matters the most: Love and Passion. =) moral of the song. haha..

wow, i see stacks of notes in Elvin’s hands …looks like he has ‘huat huat’ and won some monies…maybe, the treat is on him at the next gathering …haha
Most who are ‘blinded by love’ would choose love. Those with a competitive streak may go for pride and glory…or those with vanity go for the latter?
Some will go for passion .. passion for life, passion for love. passion for what we do ….with passion, everything will fall in place. Thatz my take.
