The Difference

August 13, 2010

“not with the eyes, but with the mind…” — Shakespeare, William. A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

What you see is what you see; what you think about is the difference.

There are some things that cannot be seen with the eyes or the mind. What you see may not be the whole of what you see. What you think based on what you see will then be skewed. Saw the i-weekly and came to read your blog and feel amused. I feel that both of you are just real to yourselves and being yourselves. It’s just that the two of you rub each other the wrong way. Of course, I am not in your shoes and do not see the whole picture. Yet based on what you describe, I can see it in my mind and feel that neither party is wrong. Personally, I could relate to his behaviour but it does not necessarily spark from dislike or otherwise. Hope you are not troubled by the issue or suffering from the repercussion of it. Wishing you all the best and yes, I do enjoy your shows and the speeches you gave at the Star Awards. You are just being true to yourself, even if others laugh or make snide remarks. Likewise, am rooting for him for I think that he is as real as you are.

    I agree with you!
Some things cannot be judge by looking at it, we have to think whether it is right or wrong with our mind.
As the going gets tough, the tough gets going! A quote my teacher taught me :)
Smile always and take care alright! :D

    Really agree with you! (:
What we see is reality, but we will have our own thoughts to it.

    Supporting you all the way~

Looks are usually deceiving, as we all know. However, most of us still make the mistake of making judgement. Hence, the wiser ones should know the difference.

Hey, for every one person who doubts/criticizes you, there may be ten others who believe in you & clearly see your stand. ;>
in fact, i felt that your view on the issue in the latest i-weekly was well-said, very real as well.
Truth be told, before you admitted in the article, I could already tell that you chose to ‘act blur’ as a form of response to the continuous arrowing by certain artists in the industry in some situations. This shows that you were trying your best to show some respect to them, be it whether they are a ‘senior’, ‘junior’ or of the same level.
Keep your bullet-vest on & be ever-ready to face all those ‘shooters’ out there. Do what you deem right, & the rest, is up to the public to judge. :)
Thr is nth wrong to ‘follow the rules’ at the end of the day, so as to think in terms of the bigger picture, but rmbr, never lose yourself & the beliefs that you’ve held onto all these while..
All ze best, & all the way! ;>

look not with your mind, but with your heart.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

I don’t really agree. Sometimes our thoughts may not be right than what we have see and experience with that someone. Only oneself knows it best.

What I learnt in life is that sometimes you not only need to think through what you see, use your head to think, you need to use your heart to feel whether you are willing to compromise your values just to fit in.

Just do what is right & push on in life.

Out of 10 pax, as long as 1 chose to believe me, i will persevere! Looks and words can be deceiving. I no longer trust a person by his or her look, at times not even by his or her behaviour! There was once i learnt that i was backstab by some1 whom i tot i cld trust, only 3 years later!
Personally i think that what we see/hear might not even be the truth! Misunderstandings arise when theres not clarifications. I guess the only way 2 noe a person is by spending time together, seek to understand and be understood.
Then again, women dont really like to noe some truths, do we?
