listen only to the voices that matter,
remember the familiar faces.
do we want our voice to be drowned out by all the other voices?
do we want our face to be lost in the faceless crowd?

Finally I can be the 1st person to leave comment =)
People choose those they like to be heard and to be seen. If our face or voices lost in the crowd, it doesn’t mean we are not one of the best.
My face or voice might not be the most outstanding one but I’m sure I’m one of the sweetest and kind-hearted gal in the crowd.
Be confident in yourself. This is what I’m strongly believe in. Confident in one self will bring out the beauty of the individual.

How important is it to be seen or heard?
What’s more important is the silent hero, whose action positively makes an impact on other people’s lives.
Let me be the 2nd then haha. I agree that confidence is the key to standing out and it really has to come from within. At the end of the day, the one who will hold a place in people’s heart is one who is full of inner depth, a big selfless heart and who brings joy and laughter , but it all has to be sincere and not just purely doing it for the sake of standing out. Not only will you stand out, but you will feel happiness from within. Pretty faces turns head but there will always be a prettier one elsewhere. Good actors but better ones come along. What’s important is that you really work hard and put in effort for your passion and have no regrets.Not only will people recognize it, but most importantly its you yourself that will feel great for putting your best foot forward. Take some time to reflect and figure out what will really do good for you, start from within and race with yourself instead, I guarantee you ,life will be never better. All the best

I like this ” listen only to the voices that matter”. I only listen to those whom i care for and who cares about me, those who are sincere and whom i can trust to be my frenz.
I don’t mind the whereabouts of my face and voice in the sea of faces and voices. It doesnt matter where i stand! I’ll juz continue to work with my integrity & clear conscience, do what i should do for the community and ppl ard me.

For a celebrity like you, so famous and well liked by many, it is not surprising that you are used to the smiling faces and adoring words from your fans. Love is given so freely and willingly. Would it matter if one unfamiliar face/ voice disappear? I doubt so. It doesn’t matter if one voice is louder or softer, it’s the thought that counts.
It is amazing how your fans adulate you, Elvin. Although I still don’t understand the ‘idol worship phenomena’ no matter how much I tried to, hahaha… I have no doubts that you are a nice person.
It makes me wonder if this amount of love is spread out in this world, especially to the isolated and helpless people, there wouldn’t be much suffering.
It is absurd to question the fairness of it all, and the reason behind all these, because there is no answer, and I could only second guess.
And of course, I’ll listen only to the voices that matter. I remember faces quite well but forget names quite fast haha…so I’d rather remember the people who made a positive impact in my life. =)
In this pragmatic (esp working) world, there are all sorts of people who are out there to either ‘drown’ us (in terms of trying to outshine/outdo us) or ‘disface’ us (makes us seem lousy/lose face), we need to learn to protect ourselves. However, while we can choose to ignore, it may be easier said than done. One way is to play the ‘retreat’ game, or to ‘wait and react’ or to package ourselves better. Whatever we do, or think we should do, keep to our principles and faith! I am not sure (after been working for years) if we can stand firm for long but ultimately, the truth behold but then again, we may not have the stamina to ‘tahan’ so long.
i used to listen only to his voice that matter and remember only his familiar face. his all so improtant to me. and? he sliently watch me do all that without a bit in his heart.
elvin, i guess it better like listen only when voice starts to sound your a matter and be remember as familiar face, that you can then do the same.

Chanced upon ur blog n thot of leaving a comment for ur entry. I remembered some1 told me b4, it does not matter if u r being remembered, but as long as u make a change to the person’s life for good, U r a hero to him/her. I carry tis line wz me, reminding myself to do good at all times, though it might be difficult. Try to remind urself on tis, I m sure u will know U r creating colours to ur life, making no regrets!
cherish the ones that r by ur side, the familiar faces n forget those that r far away.
Some things r just not fated. As u can tell. Nothing can be done.
