Into Uncharted Territory

December 11, 2010

“the small fishing boat

no longer interested in floating on the high seas

finally finds itself a harbour”

is the same as

“the small fishing boat

because having found itself a harbour

now rows out again into open waters”

into the unknown

into previously uncharted territory.

what brand new world presents itself?

what exciting new possibilities?

what new lease of life?

into uncharted territory.

what gives it the courage?

will it?

i feel yes.

It’s the same world, just with an expanded horizon under the same sky.

Maybe you will find new lands and seas, sail along with dolphins and whales, bump into giant squids or even meet the Kraken, ride up and down with the waves. Perhaps even find new harbours.

What lies beyond that horizon of yours, is an infinity of all promises, prospects, possibilities, potentials (quoting your previous entry), both imaginable and unimaginable.

Appreciate your sail, enjoy it, and don’t forget to share the sights and sounds and emotions along the way.

    :)

But there might be pleasant surprises out there waiting for u too.
Go for whatever choice u made.
We are always just a short distance behind u
So just turn n look behind whenever u need any strength & courage :)

I think travelling abroad might be a good way of relaxing. There will be fresh inspiration and new ideas along the way. Although on a small boat, the great adventure is more meaningful.

(Europe is a good choice. I rarely see scenery shot in Europe from Singapore shows though)

Once the small fishing boat has decided to flee the high seas, it is already one step closer to a harbour. Nothing can bring down this small boat that is filled of hope and love from us. Nothing will. Good luck in finding that harbour! ;)

Meanwhile I will continue to watch Breakout. Highly addictive! So far in every episode, Zhou Jieming never fails to make me laugh. Do you know now everyone likes to imitate the way Zhou Jieming speaks? It is really fun. :)

    Hi Elvin

I just had to make a slight correction.

    It’s “uncharted”, not “unchartered”…

“You charter a bus…. you follow a charted course.”

But otherwise well done Lit grad! :)

btw i wanted to ask: does ur co-star ever mistakenly call you Zhou Jielun (Jay Chou) while filming??

It must have been quite funny if she did!
