No Guarantee

December 18, 2010

The mouth is mine; the pen is the reporter’s. Whatever comes out of my mouth is controlled by myself; whatever comes out of the pen of the reporter is completely out of my control and none of my business, can I say that, because there is nothing I can do about it.

I can only work so hard and do what I can for what I do, and things will fall into place? Well, all the rest is not up to me, they depend on all the other things that are independent of me, hence beyond me, right? So what’s there to think of what’s beyond me.

One thing’s for sure. Fortunately my life is still in my hands. That’s perhaps the only guarantee we all have, isn’t it?

In life, who said there was any guarantee? =)

Yes something is just beyond control. As long as we had clear conscience, and we create our own path and the life we want, its all that matters.
    Be yourself :-)

Elvin – Some things are simply beyond our control no matter what we try, do or act. However, like you say, we are thankful that we are in control of our own life. So, we need to ensure that our live is well-lived.

Yup. There’s no guarantee in life. The only guarantee is that we are in control of our mind and heart. 只要我们自己良心过意得去就行了。What others want to do is out of our control, we can do nothing about it.
We can’t possibly please everyone in this world, 总不能让每个人都喜欢你,或赞同你的说法。So long as 对得起自己的良心,就可以了。 你说不是吗?(:

Yes, it’s beyond our control. Even if it’s not the press, friends or colleagues might twist and turn your words too! Be firm in yourself or rather myself, let time proved everything :)

you see.. reporters write whatever they think and yes cannot be controlled.. however, thats in a way their job. and.. we all know that. so why the need to tell?
maybe some are gonna say things like i oppsite some of the point here is to get whatever or to be different etc.. i dont care.
i just ask.. what you’ll think about a person who broadcast their emotion to the world?
it’ll be like a teenager in school being angry and let it out for all to know.. do not know how to manage his anger or emotion.
at work.. a grown up world.. imagin the samething happen..?
how will others think of his mind? his emotion resistance towards his work and himself?

i understand it your own space here you can write whatever you want.. but thats just half of it.. it also a place where the whole world can read about you.. including reporters and your own company. they wont have the right to control what you write here but they can sure see how you are depend on what you wrote here for them to know..

and.. you think those reporters are gonna know and have a change or what? or it just for them to take note of your emotion towards them? i think they simply are gonna laugh pass it..

dont show too much emotion at your work. i guess im not the only one who hear this often.

I remember my prof told me before “The only certainty is uncertainty”.. So, nothing in this world is guarantee.. Many things are beyond our control.. But what you can do is to control those that you can…

Maybe that’s what they call “fate”?
    There’s no guarantee in life.
But we can guarantee ourselves right? Just believe in oneself! :)

Yeah, I feel that at the end of the day, it is still how much you can controll your life. Because if you are a leader, and you lost the direction, all the rest of your followers will lost theirs. Even ordinary people like us face the same agony that you are facing, just that it’s micro and not macro. Anybody will be judged differently and nobody wants to be judged badly. But, we can control our actions but we can’t control others’ mouths.

Being popular is not about being right or wrong and tell me about it, is there really a 100% perfect person? I haven’t seen one. Being popular is just simply how many people know you and like you in the way you portrait yourself. It is very subjective. It maybe something that attracts others and make others wanna admire you. It’s just that simple. Being popular doesn’t prove a person is a nice person, not being popular doesn’t prove a person to be evil.

In life, all of us are actors and actresses. We try to act like a perfect students in school, a perfect daughter at home, a perfect worker at work, but while we are trying to be perfect in one role, we neglect other roles. So morale of the story, if you can’t be perfect, then just do your best. It’s your life and you know what you are doing.
